Our syringes have been designed without rubber plunger seals to ensure that they do not react with mineral oil brake fluid making them perfect for bleeding your Tektro/TRP brakes.

Auriga brakes

With respect to anyone bleeding tektro auriga brakes, they are low end brakes. If the bleed kit doesn't work for you then I would suggest upgrading the brakes.

Auriga brake bleed

For a novice, brake bleed was a simple process. Sorted out my spongy brakes. I ordered more brake fluid as I needed to flush system a couple of times. Decent product and arrived within a couple of days. Cheers

Paper instructions wrong + not enough fluid

Wish I hadn’t bothered with the instructions, talks about catching fluid in a plastic bag. By the time I’d spotted the instructions were wrong I’d wasted some fluid and could not complete the job. Far too little fluid supplied to do both brakes

Epic Bleed Solutions

Hi Peter. Thank you for your feedback. The instructions provided with our Tektro/TRP Bleed Kit have to cover a wide range of brake models which vary significantly and so it is difficult to create a guide which will address each model. However, I can say that our instruction sheet for this model has been updated over the last couple of days and will hopefully be an improvement for future customers. You can download this sheet via our downloads section. The 50ml of brake fluid supplied is enough to bleed one set of brakes. If the brake fluid needs to be completely replaced, or the system flushed several times it is wise to have an additional bottle of fluid on standby for this. I hope this helps.

Won't help

I have tried all different ways of doing this. But my tektro auriga won't get stiff. I've watched hours of bleeding on YouTube and read the instructions and asked for help, but it won't work. My lever for my back brakes are still soft and goes almost all the way in. Tried with both syringe. Tried with one and a bag. Etc. Tried back and forth several times. Tried to pull the air out on both sides. Tried "closing" the lever and just doing the caliper. Just as bad as before if not worse... Seems like 15gbp waste for me?

Tektro vela

This went way better than I expected. When I saw that my brakes do not have nipples I expected a complete mess and risk of introducing more air than was there in the first place plus some dirt too. In fact I took it carefully and slowly and there were no problems at all. The old fluid looked clean and clear of air but even so the brakes are much firmer now and lever travel is reduced.
